
TELECOMMUNICATIONS service provider NasionCom Sdn Bhd has teamed up with three more corporations - AmBank Group, e-pay (M) Sdn Bhd and Cosway (M) Sdn Bhd - to widen its distribution channels.
NasionCom chairman Datuk Seri Sulaiman Amin said the partnership with AmBank will allow common customers of the bank and NasionCom's corporate programme to pay bills and reload credits online via AmBank's website.
"Home users of NasionCom will soon be able to use the common srvice," he told reporters after signing the agreements in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday. The signing was witnessed by Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik.
Dr Lim said the Government's policy is to encourage fair competition among industry players in offering better and cheaper services.
"Long gone are the days of monopoly, we now welcome those in the private sector who are willing to invest in new infrastructure to provide better service," he said.
Sulaiman said the new alliance with e-pay, which is a prepaid solution provider, will enable its home users to buy and to reload their NasionCall Home prepaid card in two denominations – RM20 and RM40.
NasionCall Home is one of the company's products that offer discounts for international and trunk calls.
“Cosway, with 24 redemption centres, 400 stockist shops and 600,000 members nationwide will further increase NasionCall Home's availability,” Sulaiman said.
Apart from the new partnerships, NasionCall Home prepaid cards are also available at 7-Eleven stores, Bank Simpanan Nasional, Angel Cake House, all Whoops Terminals, SIS Distribution, Print Station, and Nelson outlets. They come in four denomination – RM10, RM30, RM50 and RM100.
NasionCom currently serves some 40,000 registered consumers and 5,000 corporate users. |
